Synopsis

One night changed my life—one that I barely remember.

When I close my eyes, my mind paints a picture of his smile and shades the contours of his hands, the deep scar around his bicep.

I’m an artist, yet my hands are unsteady. With his presence, he has unknowingly broken that something inside of me that makes me who I am.

Being around him is like standing in a rainstorm. First the drops tickle my skin, and then they coat me, refusing to be ignored. Finally, they soak into me, reaching parts of me I don’t think anyone has ever touched.

When dreams turn into reality, will the picture in my mind transfer to paper?

Excerpt

“Why are you fidgeting again?” Allie’s scolding is in the form of a whisper but still reaches my ears as a yell because I know by the sharp look in her eye that she’s ready to stab me with a pin if I don’t stop.

“Sorry,” I whisper. I work to ignore an itch on the back of my neck and another on my shoulder. As I think about how much I hate standing still and why I didn’t see King at all today though he always works in the home office on Fridays, I feel several more tickles across my skin that arise because I know I can’t move.

My eyes scan over the large space that we’re filling. There are at least two hundred other students in here, each with a model who, like me, is standing atop a crate, making a select few of us even more uncomfortably tall. Several people look perfectly relaxed as they stand completely still, their shoulders back and chins raised as though they’re already on stage. My eyes trace over each of them, noticing their poise, boldness, and beauty.

“She’s really pretty.”

Allie’s looks up at me with minimal interest. “Who?”

“The girl over there with the dark blond hair.” I nod in the direction of where she’s standing.

“You’re an artist, Lo. She’s definitely pretty, but her confidence is what makes her stand out so much.”

Allie’s comment makes me stare longer at the girl, noticing her eyes are a little too close together, and her forehead too short to be what is believed to be the definition of attractive. It brings me to hate those ignorant facts even more because she is beautiful, and I’m grateful she seems to believe so without meeting the dictated standards.

“Lo,” Allie hisses in warning, making my hand drop from where it’s rubbing across my mostly bare thigh.

“You should really consider asking Kenzie.”

“I would have if I had known you have ADHD. What’s with you?”

“I don’t know.”

“It’s because you can’t draw, huh?” My attention drops to Allie as she places another pin along the hemline.

“That’s definitely not helping.”

“When do you think you’ll be able to hold a pencil again? Are your professors freaking out?”

“I don’t know. I’m hoping by the end of this week so I can draw while I’m home for Christmas.”

“Are you excited?”

Her gaze remains fixed on the dress as I raise my eyebrows, her question sinking into my thoughts. “I guess. I don’t know.”

“You don’t talk about your family much.” Allie’s eyes dart to mine for just a fraction of a second, but I’m sure it’s long enough to notice mine working to evade contact.

“There’s not a whole lot to say.”

“What happened to your mom this week?” I feel her briefly glance up again before moving her hands to a new spot where she begins measuring the fabric for the next pin.

“Something came up. I’m sure I’ll see her after the holidays. You know how this time of year is.”

She places a white chalk pencil between her teeth and nods slowly as if debating that it’s the correct response. She frees it again, intently focusing on the fabric, and places a careful mark. “You aren’t mad?”

I shrug, earning a glare from her that I return with a frown. Her lips fall open into a laugh. “You just need to focus on someone and mentally draw them; otherwise, you’re never going to make it out of here tonight, at least not without a thousand pinholes.”

My neck twists as I look around the room again. There are so many people in here. So much beauty, anticipation, desire, and passion: things I seek for my own inspiration, yet when I close my eyes and start sketching lines across my imagination, they don’t make up anyone that’s in here. I think I’d be surprised at this point if they ever do again. There are times like yesterday when I genuinely wish I hated him. Hell, he’s been a jackass to me enough that I could justifiably say I do, and anyone would be able to understand where I’m coming from. Then again, that would also require having someone to discuss my feelings for and interactions with him.

I wish I hadn’t been exposed to the kinder sides of him.

I wish I didn’t see how he acts around Mercedes to witness his unconditional love for her.

I wish my memories of that night were fading rather than becoming clearer.

I wish I wasn’t falling for this asshole.

I wish he’d fall for me.

BLURB:

At the powerhouse law firm of Knight & Payne, winning comes first and ethics a distant second. Leary Michaels uses her female charms to daze opponents, and it’s always worked well—until now. On her most personal case yet, she finds herself going up against a defense attorney just as skilled, shameless, and seductive as she is.

Reeve Holloway has never met a woman as sure of her own sexuality, or as ruthless in wielding it, as Leary is. But he won’t be toyed with. What Leary starts, he’ll finish—in the courtroom, the bedroom, or any-damn-place he wants. The sex is uninhibited, electrifying, and absolutely against the rules. Reeve’s job is to ruin Leary’s case…even if it destroys her in the process and costs him the woman he’s come to love.

MY REVIEW:

This happened to be my first Sawyer Bennett book, and it certainly won’t be my last.

Between the legal jargon (which I found so interesting) and the steamy scenes, this was a really great light read that was like a cross between Emma Chase’s Legal Brief’s series and Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren.

There are two feisty MCs, Leary and Reeve, who are both lawyers assigned on opposing sides of a case. Leary tries to seduce Reeve, hoping it’ll throw him off a bit, but finds herself extremely attracted to him. They begin a steamy relationship, even though professionally they should be working against one another, and it eventually turns to something more.

Leary at times was a bit too head strong for my liking, but I admired her fierce attitude and determination to win the case. I absolutely adored Leary. He was one of the sweetest heros (and sooo damn sexy) and I liked how he put Leary before everything.

“Tell me you adore me.”
“You know I do,” I say from a place deep within my heart.
“Tell me you’re going to fuck me silly after you finish working tonight,” he says, now grinning big.
“You know I will,” I say as warmth spreads through me.

Overall, this was a light, quick paced read with two likeable characters and a sweet ending. It can be read as a standalone and is written in dual POV. Highly recommend for those who like sweet, steamy, real life romances.

MY REVIEW:

Aly Martinez has such a knack for creating such endearing, real, witty, lovable characters, and The Fall Up certainly had these. It drew me in from the very first page and I enjoyed this story so so much!

Levee is a singer. A rather famous singer who can’t help but feel nothing in her life or anything she does is enough. One night, while contemplating her life, she encounters a tattooed smoking hottie named Sam, on a bridge. He has no idea who she is and he talks her down from whatever she might have been planning. These two, with their witty banter, form an instant connection and night after night meet on the same bridge mostly just to be in the other’s company.

Eventually, Levee reveals her true identity, and an amazingly sweet and romantic relationship between them ensues. Together they help work out each other’s issues caused by their similar pasts, and this causes the connection between them to only grow stronger. Levee had a heart of gold and was so sweet I couldn’t help but instantly fall in love with her.

Sam was an incredible hero, and was so unexpectedly romantic (and I need to point out how SEXY he also was). There is NO WAY you will not fall for him and fall hard. A few quotes so you see what I mean:

”My name is Samuel Nathan Rivers. I’m twenty-seven. Aquarius. No criminal history. I have a clean bill of health. I’m a democrat, but for God’s sake, do not tell my mom. I own a furniture shop and clear six figures a year. I’ll show you my tax return if need be. I’m also not a super-fan interested in your fame. But, for the love all that’s holy, I need you, Designer Shoes, to come home with me.”
___________________

”Do you want this on or off while I’m licking your pussy?” She froze and as I’d hoped, her laughter fell silent. As a victorious smile spread across my mouth, she abruptly sat up and started trying to reach her zipper on the back of her dress…
_____________________

I brushed my fingers across the swell of her cleavage. “I’m going to detour to these first. I’ll personally apologize to your pussy for the delay.”

16637070.gif

They were both selfless and passionate and reading their story is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I JUST ADOREDDDDDDDDD the banter between Levee and Sam. What makes a book for me is and will always be the dialogue. And the dialogue in here was just GOLD. Between Levee, Sam, and her BFF Henry, I laughed so hard, swooned, then laughed some more. I can’t stress enough how much I loved the banter between them all!

”What single guy keeps a house this neat? I gasped. “Oh, my God, you’re married?”

“Shh! You’ll wake up my wife,” he replied, touching his lips to my temple. “Don’t worry. She’s okay with you being here. You were on the top of my celebrity sexception list.”
_____________________________

“I’m going to need you to try really hard to keep it together, Levee. You haven’t even seen my six-pack and huge cock, yet.”

“You brought beer and chicken!?” I feigned excitement.
_____________________________

Henry groaned, finally dragging his eyes off Sam. “This is so not fair. Why would you flaunt this fine specimen of a straight man in front of me and not even let me nibble. Do you not love me at all?” he pouted.
“No one is nibbling anything,” Sam quickly added.
Henry winked. “Yet.”
Sam stepped away & dug into his pocket. “Jesus, I need a cigarette.”………..
“Go ahead, hot man. Smoke your cigarette. And, before you ask, yes, I’m perfectly okay with you envisioning it’s me you’re putting in your mouth.”

Overall, the story was such beautiful ride and Aly balanced the emotional and humorous scenes perfectly. It just flowed effortlessly and I would highly recommend this standalone!

Review – Pucked Up (Pucked #2) by Helena Hunting

25700862.jpg

RATING : 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Really enjoyed this one!

Pucked up revolves around Miller “Buck” Butterson (brother of Violet and teammate to Alex Waters from Pucked) who falls for Sunny, Alex’s younger sister.

I must say, from the impression Violet left of Buck from Pucked, I was expecting some silly jock man-whore. But after getting to know him, I found him to be such an incredibly sweet character with a huge heart.

He spends majority of the book trying to get himself out of comical ridiculous situations that don’t quite go according to plan and that get him in some hot water with Sunny. Though there are comical moments and one liners that had me giggling…

“Then reality slapped her in the face like an unwashed dick.” (I KNOW I KNOW that it so gross, but that line seriously got me LOL)

…..I didn’t find this story as laugh out loud funny as I did Pucked. There seemed to be more serious topics discussed like Buck’s dyslexia, which left me actually feeling sympathy for him. But even with this, I still found it really enjoyable and loved the romantic moments that were thrown in.

“Speaking of bed, I’d like to go there now.”
“You tired, sweets? You wanna go to sleep?”
“No. I want you to love me.”
“You’re not tired of being loved yet?”
She touches her lips to mine. “Never.”

HOW SWEET ARE THEY?!

All in all this was a light, funny read with a sweet ending. And though I was expecting a totally different book than what I got, Helena did a great job of taking a character like Buck who was preconceived as a dumb man whore and made me easily adore and root for him throughout the story.

I definitely am looking forward to the third book in the series (Pucked Over), and I have a good idea who the couple will be. And if it’s who I think it is, I know it is going to be awesome!

EXCERPT REVEAL: The Fall Up by Aly Martinez

EXCERPT ONE
Chapter One
Levee
It was raining. Isn’t that the way all great love stories start? And also usually end? The midnight air was cool against my skin as I stared off that bridge. My blond wig was secured in place by a headband, and chunky sunglasses covered my whiskey-colored eyes. I didn’t look like myself any more than I felt it. Bruises from the night before painted my legs while fresh scabs covered my knees, but it was the hollowness in my chest that hurt the most.
Yep. Still me.
Which was exactly why I was standing on that bridge, wishing for the mental fortitude to hurl myself off.
A man’s voice interrupted my thoughts. “You finally gonna do it tonight?”
I instinctually smoothed my fake hair down and pressed the bridge of my glasses closer to my face, sealing out any possible glance he could catch. I stared ahead as I snapped, “Excuse me?”
“I’ve seen you here three nights in a row now. I was just wondering if tonight was going to be the night you finally jump.”
My eyes flashed wide, but since they were covered by the dark glasses, my reaction remained hidden. “I just like the view. That’s all.” What a load of shit.
I watched him nod out of the corner of my eye. “Yeah me too. It’s gorgeous up here.”
Shuffling my feet to the side, I attempted to slip away as he pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and offered it my way.
“You want one?”
I shook my head and then crept down a few inches to put distance between us.
“Suit yourself.” He used a hand to shield the lighter from the wind, but the constant sprinkle of rain made his task impossible. “Damn it,” he cursed with the cigarette tucked between his lips. “Little help?” he asked, swinging his gaze to mine.
Arching an eyebrow, I asked, “With what?”
“It’s raining…and windy…and I’m trying to burn one.” He tilted his head, equally as incredulous.
“You want me to call God? We had a bad breakup recently, but he might be willing to do me one last favor.”
He breathed an exaggerated sigh of relief. “That would be fantastic. What’s the big guy’s response time like these days? Last time we spoke, it was”—he paused to look at his watch—“oh, twenty-seven years.”
A soft laugh bubbled from my throat, and one side of his mouth lifted in a gorgeous grin.
“I’m not exactly in the mood to wait that long, so maybe you could just block the wind with your body?” His smile spread as he stepped toward me, forcing my gaze to nervously bounce away.
“Sorry. Can’t help you there. Lung cancer and I broke up too.” After gathering the back of my wig into a ponytail, I pulled it over my shoulder and turned away from him. The chill of the wind blasted my face and roared over my ears as it rushed past me.
I went back to staring out at the dark, choppy water, becoming lost in the idea of how cold it might be.
Is tonight the night?
No.
My feet would more than likely never leave the edge of that bridge, but there was a definite reason why I was imagining ending it all. Exactly zero other people in the world would understand why. I had it all, and I dreamed about losing it all—more often than I would ever admit, even to myself.
After stepping out of my heels, I slipped my foot between the bars on the railing. The wind slammed my bruised leg against the metal. “Shit,” I hissed as pain shot through me.
“You think that hurts? Imagine falling twenty-five stories then crashing into the water, which might as well be concrete, at speeds upward of seventy miles per hour,” the man said, leaning on the metal railing next to me.
“Wow. Someone’s done some research,” I said sarcastically, barely sparing him a glance.
“Daily,” he responded frankly, causing my surprised gaze to swing to his. Simply shrugging at my reaction, he turned his back to the railing and propped himself up on his colorfully tattooed forearms. “You forget I’ve been here the last three nights in a row too.” He smirked, lifting the cigarette up to his lips for a deep inhale.
“Listen, I’m not going to jump if you’re some kind of caped crusader on a mission. I just needed some fresh air.” I pointedly glanced at his cigarette.
A laugh escaped his mouth in a grey puff. “Fresh air is overrated. Especially given the reason you’re standing here.” He knowingly arched a dark-brown eyebrow.
“Riiiiight,” I drawled, rolling my eyes behind my glasses. “Okay, well, I was just heading out anyway.”
“Then my work here is done.” He bowed, and the corner of my mouth lifted in a smile as I stepped back into my shoes and walked away.
I shook my head at the random stranger. Then, a thought struck me, stopping me only a few feet away. Spinning back to face him, I asked, “Wait. Were you reaching out to me as a cry for help?”
“Oh look. Designer Shoes has a conscience!” He dropped his cigarette to the damp ground, stepping on it with the toe of his well-worn, black boots. Bending over, he picked the butt up and tucked it in his pocket.
At least he didn’t litter.
“Oh look. Tattooed Stalker has jokes!” I smarted back.
He smiled, pulling another cigarette from his pocket and then pausing just before guiding it between his lips. “Were you judging me based on my tattoos? I’m offended.” He feigned anguish then laughed while lifting his lighter to once again battle the wind for a nicotine fix.
I wanted to walk away, but he wasn’t wrong. I did have a conscience, and right then, I was worried that it might really be his night to make good on his apparent numerous visits to the bridge.
With a huff, I headed back towards him, praying that I could wrap it up as quickly as possible then head back to my house for a few hours of sleep. Or, more likely, lie awake while staring at the ceiling and crying.
“Are you planning to jump for real?” I asked.
His smile fell as he focused on the water. “Nah. I don’t have the balls to do something like that. Talking to you wasn’t a plea for help or anything. You just look worse than usual tonight.” His gaze slid down to my battered legs.
“Oh!” I exclaimed in understanding. “That’s not at all what you’re thinking. I fell down some stairs.”
He quirked his lips in disbelief.
“I’m serious!”
“I’m sure you are,” he told the wind. “You can go. I’m good.”
I could have walked away, but for some reason, I pulled my jacket tighter around my shoulders and silently stood there while he finished his cigarette.
After a final deep inhale, he flicked it over the railing of the bridge.
Apparently, he does litter.
Turning to me, his face became serious. “You need to call the cops before he makes the decision to end it all for you.”
“Who?” I asked, watching the burning ember hit the metal column then explode in a million different sparks before disappearing down to the water below.
Lucky cigarette.
“The stairs…and whatever inanimate object you’re blaming for those bruises you’re hiding behind sunglasses at one in the morning. You should call the cops before…” His voice trailed off, but his dark gaze narrowed on mine. His eyes bored into my hidden stare, combining with the rain and wind to send chills down my spine.
I took the moment to secretly assess him. He was insanely sexy, but nothing like the men I was accustomed to. His chin was the kind of scruffy that made women weak, but it was obvious he didn’t pay four hundred dollars for his personal hairstylist to shape it. Judging by his shaggy, brown hair that begged for me to thread my fingers in it, I wasn’t sure he was even a barbershop kind of guy. He stood a few inches taller than I was in heels, so I pegged him at around six one. And while his tattooed forearms were deliciously sculpted and his shoulders were notably defined, his body didn’t appear to be swollen with muscles from hours spent at the gym. By the aura of bad boy he gave off, I would have expected him to be a self-consumed, arrogant prick.
He wasn’t though.
He was just an average guy worrying about the well-being of an average girl.
Only he couldn’t have been more wrong, and a pang of guilt hit me hard.
Just not hard enough for me to do anything to correct his assumptions about who I was.
Very softly, I attempted to put his fears to rest. “I promise it’s not what you’re thinking.”
“Okay,” he responded, unconvinced. He nodded to himself before dragging another cigarette from his pocket.
I watched him struggle for a second before I scooted towards him, using my body to block the wind.
Biting the cigarette between his straight, white teeth, he smiled devilishly around it. “Thanks.” Flicking the flame to life, he hunched over until a stream of smoke swirled up from the red tip.
“You should stop smoking.”
“Noted.” He exhaled through his nose.
We went back to silently staring over the side of the bridge. The familiar lights of the San Francisco skyline danced all around us. And, even as tourists and locals alike passed by us, I felt an odd, and unbelievably comfortable, isolation standing there with him.
When my teeth began to chatter, his attention was drawn my way. “I’m not here to jump. You really can go.”
I nodded but didn’t move away.
He chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest and rubbing his biceps for warmth.
“How are you not frozen?” I asked, taking in his thin Henley for the first time since we met.
Shrugging, he dropped his cigarette, answering as he bent to retrieve it. “Thick skin? I’m used to it? I come here a lot? I’m half Eskimo?”
I eyed him suspiciously. “You’re cold, aren’t you?”
“Fucking. Freezing,” he admitted, tucking his arms close to his body and blowing into his hands. “I just came up here for one smoke. Then I saw you. Now, come on. Be a lady and loan a man a jacket,” he joked, tugging on the edge of my coat.
I laughed, hugging it even tighter around my body and stepping out of his reach. “How about we both just leave? Then neither of us have to worry about the other plummeting to their death.”
“Sounds like an amazing plan.” He shoved his hands into the pockets of the tattered jeans riding low on his hips. As we began the hike back down to the foot of the bridge, he asked, “You have a name, Designer Shoes?”
I smiled and shook my head, not willing to lie—or divulge the truth.
“Yeah. Me either,” he replied.
I bit my bottom lip to suppress a laugh.
Side by side, we trudged the rest of the way in silence.
When we got to the foot of the bridge, he turned to face me and sighed. “Well, I genuinely hope I never see you again.”
My head snapped back in shock, and maybe a little hurt.
But he quickly corrected himself. “No! I just mean… Shit.” He ran a nervous hand through his hair while I watched, amused. “I just mean, given the way we met… I…um. I hope you never have a reason to go back up there.”
I teasingly tipped my head to the side. “But I really like the view.”
He cleared his throat. “Right. Of course, the view. Okay, well, have a good night.”
“You too.” I smiled tightly, but my feet didn’t budge. I told myself that it was because I didn’t want him to see my car or the bodyguard waiting for me behind the wheel. But, in reality, I just wasn’t ready to leave. Home wasn’t where I wanted to be. I didn’t actually want to be anywhere.
Not even standing at the foot of a bridge, talking to a witty and sexy man.
Okay, maybe I wanted that a little bit.
“Yep. Have a good night,” he repeated, shoving his hands inside his pockets and slowly backing away.
I gave him a quick wave, which he returned before he jogged in the other direction.
I smiled to myself, shaking my head at the entire interaction—secretly lamenting that it hadn’t been longer.

Review – Breaking Him by RK Lilley

DFDC1DBB-C632-403D-A47A-8121FBD9E3F5_zps5i3yytxw.jpg

“…It was never enough. Breaking him until he was as broken as me was the only thing that would never be enough.”

Breaking him is the story of Scarlett and Dante. Talk about one dysfunctional couple!

They hate each other.

They love each other.

They love to hate each other.

Scarlett and Dante were child hood sweethearts, and while they could not have come from more completely different lives, they connect from a young age and fall into a mad, passionate love.

In the present, all we know is something has broken these two apart and they cannot seem to be within 5 feet from one another without insulting and trying to rip the other apart. After an encounter on a flight, where Scarlett is a flight attendant, they are forced to go back home and be around each other once again.

8EF8E6CD-F4A7-410A-9F5D-01DDC7B35242_zpswymbahts.jpg

The chapters alternate between past and present, where the reader gets to see how they grew in love, and the current situation they are in.

Scarlett is ONE. BAD. ASS. She is feisty and angry and scorned and will kick the ass of anyone who even looks at her wrong. And I loved her temperamental personality.

“Do it,” I bit out.
“Ask for it,” he spoke into my skin. There he was. The Bastard I knew and loathed.
“Go die in a fire,” I gritted out, pushing back against him.
“Ask me nicely,” he added. “Say, please, Dante.”
“Please go die in a fire, Dante.”

Dante, to me, was actually sweet (aside from his hulk-like temper). And even though Scarlett paints him as the spawn of Satan, you could immediately tell he has a soft spot for Scarlett and is still completely in love with her.

And even those these two claim they cannot stand the other, it’s so clear the heat and chemistry between them has not fizzled whatsoever and it’s a task for them to even stay fully clothed when the other is near.

In the past, RK paints the story of young first love with all the emotions that come from such a sweet time. And in the present, little mysteries/hints are dropped throughout the chapters that will leave you feeling uneasy and dying to know what the hell happened between the MCs to cause them to be so torn apart.

“I hate that I still love you….I hate that I’ll never stop.”

The reader is given little on what the HELL is going on with Dante’s shady family and most importantly left with the question …WHY DID THEY BREAK UP?!?! There is clearly still SO much to learn on why Dante and Scarlett didn’t last. And I have a pretty good feeling the side characters introduced have a great deal to do with it. (What’s with that sheriff and the father comment? What the hell is Tiffany’s deal? Did Dante’s mother put her up to something? What was Bastian talking about when he spoke of black mail?) DO YOU SEE HOW MANY QUESTIONS I HAVE!?! I.NEED.ANSWERS. –sorry rant over – and I can’t wait until the next installment to get them!

Review: Veiled Innocence by Ella Frank

It wasn’t good. It wasn’t evil. It was just love.

I just love me a forbidden love story. But what I love even more is being so pleasantly surprised when picking up a book from an author I haven’t read before.

It’s always a gamble not knowing what to expect or if I’ll like the writing or the author’s style, but Veiled Innocence was more than just a pleasant surprise – it was compelling, sexy, emotional, and I could not put it down. I DEVOURED THIS BOOK and loved every second of it.

Though the blurb doesn’t tell you so, this story is about a student, Addison, who seduces her teacher, Grayson. Addison is a heroine I wasn’t expecting. She was feisty, brazen, and was not scared to sink her claws into Grayson with no thoughts of consequence or remorse.

Temptation had come to visit, and her steely determination would likely destroy us both.

She pursues him relentlessly with zero shame and Grayson, that poor man, never even stood a chance. Though he tries to fight off her advances, he eventually realizes he just can’t.

These two start an illicit affair, and through it all, you learn about Addison’s broken past and inner struggles, and start to understand why she seeks out her teacher- a man who seems to help calm the “madness” inside her and helps her finally feel at peace in what seems like, to her, forever.

“I told you. When you look at me, you see more.” I cradled his face in my hands and let my eyes roam over him.
“And when I look at you, I see for the first time the possibility of everything.”
“Fuck,” he swore under his breath. “How do I fight against someone like you?”
“You don’t.”

The book is told in alternate flashbacks from present to past with alternating point of views with you trying to guess how the affair ends (or IF it ends) the entire time.

Temptation be damned. I’d given up long ago. She was now my very own personal sin.”

The scenes between Addison and Grayson were INSANELY HOT. I am talking mouth dropping, panty combusting, scorching hotness. This woman knows how to write one steamy scene. The chemistry between these two was off the freaking charts!

Ella Frank created two flawed characters and such unforgettable scenes that alternated between erotic and emotionally charged, which were all weaved into a beautiful forbidden love.

This story had everything I would have wanted in a forbidden student/teacher romance, but it is a love story first and foremost, and I cannot recommend it enough to all the hopeless romantics out there.
