Title: Sweet Hope
Series: Sweet Home #4
Author: Tillie Cole
Age group: New adult
Genre: Contemporary romance
Release date: 29th March 2015
Sweet Hope story starts off when Ally lands a job curating a gallery show opening for an enigmatic artist named Elpidio who she hasn’t met before. The job is in Seattle, where her cousin Romeo and Molly also happen to be living (and yes Austin & Lexi make appearances, too).
We all know the mysterious Elpidio isn’t really who he says he is, and as the reader you don’t know his true identity until a few chapters in. And like the reader, Ally has no idea who this sexy, quiet, yet dangerous looking sculptor is. But she feels a connection to him, to his work, and something about his quiet yet rough exterior draws her in.
I don’t think I have ever read a character like Elpidio before. He was angry, he was regretful and mournful, but he was also so incredibly smart and magnetic. There was a type of sexiness to his quiet sorrowful personality, and the way he regrets his past sins make you just want to hug the man and then strip all his clothes off.
Ally was a great heroine. She was smart, loyal, and even after finding out who Elpidio truly was and the things he has done in his past, she loved him and wanted him unconditionally.
Now, I wish I could say more about their relationship and about Elpidio specifically, but I don’t want to give anything away! I will say I think it was an amazing end to this incredible series, and fans of Tillie Cole will absolutely eat it up!
